Why does the ozone layer at the North and South Pole thinner than the countries that's at the equator line?

No silly answers now XDWhy does the ozone layer at the North and South Pole thinner than the countries that's at the equator line?
Strange as it may sound, the ozone layer is created by ultraviolet light hitting the atmosphere, causing diatomic oxygen to form the triatomic form ozone. In the respective winters, hardly any light hits the atmosphere above the poles, hence no ozone gets formed.

The less extreme latitudes have a more constant exposure to the UV radiation, and can maintain a more stable layer (unless halogen traces wreak havoc with the chain reaction forming the ozone in the upper atmosphere).
