What is the Best DVD-R brand for burning a 1 Gigabyte high-quality video? A one that isn't a Double Layer!

Coz I have this 1 GB video file and I want it to look just perfect when I play it over at my friend's pad.

And, would the video quality be better for the 1GB video if you put it in a branded Double Layer DVD or would be just the same when you put in just a branded 4.7GB DVD-R?What is the Best DVD-R brand for burning a 1 Gigabyte high-quality video? A one that isn't a Double Layer!
I think it would be hard to find 10 people who will unanimously agree on what brand is best. Any of the major brands (Memorex, Sony, Databank, Iomega, Verbatim, etc.) might be able to meet your expectations. Key word -- might. Just like some cars seem to run better with a specific brand of gasoline, DVD burners seem to prefer different brands of disks. And just because playback on your computer is perfect, playback on a different machine could result in color shifts, audio differences, etc.

I do not believe quality will be any better using a double layer disk. From my own experiments, recording speed seems to affect quality more than brand or type of disk. The slower the recording speed the better the quality. I'd invest in a few different brands, record the same couple of minutes of video on each, then compare the results. Because no matter what anyone else says, only you can decide if the finished product is acceptable.
