How much important the ozone layer is?

The Ozone layer stops much of the Ultra-Violet rays and other harmful rays from the Sun reaching the earth's surface and possibly killing most terrestrial life on the planet.

Kind regards

Dr Antony. How much important the ozone layer is?
The ozone is what maintains a constant climate on earth and when there is a hole in it harmful rays from the sun, like infra red and gamma, come in through the hole and cant get back out again when they hit the crust and bounce back up, this warms up the atmosphere and has an effect on the weather. It is one of the causes of global warming.
