Which layer's throughput are DUmeter capable of detecting?

Which layer's throughput can DUmeter detect? The Physical layer? Mac layer, or the application layer?

Apparently DU meter operates on Layer 2 (MAC)and above.


Since the physical layer is just the wire there would be nothing to measure, at layer 2 (MAC) you would see data such as broadcasts (not sure why anyone would want to see this, at least until you had a broadcast storm). The data that you would really want to see is at layer 3 and above.
