'gas tank' as in fossil fuels...no
CFC's affect the ozone layer not combustion of fossil fuels
Nop...not talking crap. Giving facts. CO2 causes the greenhouse effect not depletion of the ozone layer. The Cl affects the ozone layer, do you see any halogens in hydrocarbons...they're called hydrocarbons because they are compounds containing hydrogen and carbon :) When driving your car the NOx gases produced from the exhaust react with molecular oxygen, O2 to produce ozone, O3. But this is tropospheric and does not affect the ozone layer either...but does cause a lot of problems in lungs...especially in Urban areas.Does filling your gas tank completely effect the ozone layer in any one?

Actually filling your car has no affect. The problem is found when you drive your car. When the gas is being used, carbon is emitted. While the earth does need carbon, too much of it causes heat to be trappd in the atmostphere. However, it has no affect on the actual ozone layer itself.
We at one time had a very large hole in the ozone layer; however, scientists have worked with politions to limit the uses of ozone depleting materials that contain CFC's, such as aerosol cans. The hole has shrunk and they say it will be completely gone by the end of the century.
Kudos to you for caring. Most people don't realize the problem at hand with this.
NO!!!
it's called Gas guzzling Yanks
YES
By filling your tank, even if you then don't drive anywhere, you are emptying the fuel reservoir of the filling station and they will need it topped up, therefore causing pollution from the delivery truck
PS: jo 17 is talking crap. The ozone layer is affected by ALL POLUTION not just CFCs
