Standard DVD players read the .Vob format, the files you have now are in AVI format..
I would recommend you download ConvertXtoDVD. Ive been using it for a year now, never had a problem!
It will convert your video files to the dvd format readable by all standard dvd players, then burn automatically to DVD!
it is easy to use, fast and it works perfect for me.. give it a try, you'll love it
1. Download ConvertXtoDVD here:
http://www.vso-software.fr/products/conv鈥?/a>
It can convert any video file.. like wmv, mpeg, asf, mp4, avi to dvd
2. Add or drag-n-drop as many video files as the DVD can handle
3. Insert blank DVD
4. Click ';Convert';
5. Enjoy watching those video files on your home DVD player! =)
ConvertXtoDVD has a lot of extra nice features too,
for example you can make your own ANIMATED DVD menu or auto-generate it, add subtitles, auto-burn to dvd or save your conversion.Can I burn the LOTR trilogy into a single layer DVD?
All 3 movies...each movie itself is already about 3 hours long and you barely get good quality on a single DVD. Now think about 3 movies onto one DVD. You can but the quality is not going to be great at all. Maybe if you're planning to watch it on a screen as small as an iPod maybe. I don't think it would be a great idea to have all 3 movies on one disc. So to answer your question, yes you can burn it onto a single layer DVD, but I think you shouldn't if you are planning to watch this with at least decent quality so don't waste your time trying.
yes of course you can, but u'll be risking picture quality and movie skipping.
any decent disc burning software would be able to compress-to-fit your avi movies into a single disc, toast titanium works good.
