Top Layer Of Wedding Cake?

My one year marriage anniversary is December 2nd. Does anyone know the proper way to thaw out the top layer of my wedding cake so it will be good to eat on our big day? It has been frozen for almost a year now!Top Layer Of Wedding Cake?
We thawed ours in the refrigerator and it was pretty good.Ours was wrapped at least 4 times with plastic wrap and tin foil. The end product depends on how moist it was to begin with and well you store it. Good luckTop Layer Of Wedding Cake?
actually you cant! even though it is in the freezer it still has a expiring life span. so just leave it for memories, or you can remove it and have it preserved forever by shallacking it....then put it on a shelf
slowly, just leave it out for awhile, maybe in the sun. you don't want the ';icing'; to melt

My wife and I tried to do this. We left it at my grandmother's house in her freezer, cause ours was too small. We ended up just throwing it away and going to eat at a nice resteraunt.
Put it in the fridge 48 hours before so it can thaw slowly. Good luck on that one. Year old wedding cake is a nice idea, nice tradition, but.................its still year old cake.
let it sit out some where until it unthaws but not too much. then stick it back in the fridge untill its ready to eat
